Arthropods are a diverse and abundant component of Danli's fauna, and the intern will assist with efforts to document the diversity, distribution, and phenology of pollinators (bees, flower flies, and butterflies) and ground-dwelling beetles and spiders. Field work includes physically challenging hikes to study sites, lab work with a microscope and computer, and assistance with some public outreach programs. Applicants must be in good physical condition and willing to hike for long days over uneven terrain. Some backpacking and overnight camping may be involved. Background coursework in the biological sciences is helpful.
