My name is Ansley Watkins, and I’m entering my third year at The Ohio State University. I’m majoring in Natural Resource Management and minoring in Community Outreach Education.

Though I go to school in Ohio, I’m originally from just outside Atlanta, Georgia. As far as things I enjoy when I’m not outside or working on school-related items (or both!), I love cooking, reading, music, and watching movies.

This summer, I’ll be interning at Indiana Dunes National Park as a Biology Assistant at its Research and Education Center. I’ll mainly be working with a focus on conserving pollinator species within the park and presenting different community programs for park visitors.

One of my favorite aspects of environment-related work is the interaction with people. I love helping people learn about the world around them and learning about their own connections to nature.

Until next week!
