26 Jun An Ode to Tourists
They’re everywhere.
They’re crowding the Safeway, the local cafes, and the streets of downtown.
They’re screeching to halts in the middle of the road to catch glimpses of elk and to snap a few photographs.
Yet…
They’re also paying the very taxes and park fees that make everything we do possible.
They’re making us remember how beautiful the land we live in is.
And ultimately, there isn’t much that differentiates us from them.
We’re all united by a love for the wind, the mountains, the flora, and the fauna, and by a pull to understand where we fit into it all.
My mom and me riding horses, and being tourists. My mom and me hiking, and being tourists.
