24 May Intro Post
Hey! Welcome to my blog! My name is Ty. I’m from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and I am going into my sophomore year at Wake Forest University where I’m planning on majoring in Environmental Science. What I want to do with that, I’m not totally sure yet, but I know I like being outdoors and connecting others to nature whether that be through hiking or fishing, or gardening. Since a young age, through frequenting local state and the occasional national parks, I have always dreamed of working in a national park, maybe as a park ranger, maybe as a field biologist, or maybe even as a backpacking guide. This summer I hope to explore all the aspects of the Natchez Trace Parkway and get a better understanding of what goes into maintaining a national park. So follow along as I try on many different NPS hats as I discover what possible careers are out there!
