26 Jul night light
The image above shows one of my favorite memories of this internship. I got to participate in a night release of over 100 Kemp’s ridley hatchlings with some of my friends that are a part of the Student Conservation Association! It was such a beautiful experience and the payoff for the work that is done all throughout the nesting season.
This is something I’ll never forget and am happy that I get to share with others. Kemp’s ridley hatchlings are the smallest and slowest moving so we made sure to guide them to the water and had plenty of time to watch the beginning of their long journey.
