26 Jul salty sunrise
Growing up I was never a fan of the beach. I loved the view and the animals there, but couldn’t get with the sand! Being here for a couple months hasn’t changed that, but I can say I love going to beach in the mornings. Being here has given me a new appreciation for the beach and has really allowed me to spend a great amount of time outside in the sun.
My mentor, supervisor, and friend, Cynthia Rubio, and I have talked a lot about being outside and just making time to be outdoors. It’s been nice to be able to share the sunrise with lots of my friends and family on social media, as well as those viewing the Sea Turtle Science and Recovery Division’s Facebook page. Social media has allowed the park to stay in touch with the public and share the beauty of the work done here as well as the scenery, it’s been awesome to be a part of that.
