Youth Programs Division
The Youth Programs Division engages youth between the ages of 5 and 35 years old in various National Park Service programs to develop a life-long commitment to support our national parks and protect our natural environment and cultural heritage. Currently there are over 25 youth programs operating throughout the National Park System. Youth programs encompass a wide of missions and responsibilities including the fostering of a strong relationship between youth and the natural and cultural resources managed by the NPS and instilling a work ethic into our nation’s youth.
Natural Resource Stewardship and Science Directorate
The Natural Resource Stewardship and Science Directorate provides scientific, technical, and administrative support to national parks for the management of natural resources. NRSS has a strong commitment to providing science-based on-the-ground youth career development opportunities through the management of the Scientists in Parks Program, which includes the Mosaics in Science Diversity Internship Program.
